Welcome to Roxy’s blog, Woman With A Pen. Roxy decided to start this blog so that she could share some of her writing with others, and promote her book A Year Without a Kitchen Sink, while it is being written.
You will find some articles that Roxy wrote a long time ago when she wrote a column for the Estes Park News, some essays, stories, and some poetry. Roxy is a nature lover and outdoorsy type, so you’ll find that many of her writings are nature related, but occasionally she goes to different place and surprises herself. Sometimes her own photography will inspire an essay or piece of poetry. In sharing this work with you, she hopes that her words will prompt you, the reader, to pause, take a deep breath, and spare a moment to think about the beauty around us, the intensity of a moment, the amazing universe we live in, the delicate life we hold in our hands.
Roxy invites you to share your thoughts concerning her writing. How did the piece make you feel? Could you understand the piece? Did it move you in any way? And so on. She is not an editor, and you may find spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. Please don’t hesitate to point these out if you feel so inclined. Roxy welcomes all critiques offered in a considerate manner.
Thank you for taking the time to visit Roxy’s blog, please enjoy.

Roxy: loved the rocking chair and stuffed rabbit poem. Rabbit being in chair brought me to tears, Some child had loved that rabbit, and might have been rocked in that chair. Good work! love, Linda
